Dear Colleagues & Friends,
It’s a great pleasure – as Presidents and Chairmen – to welcome you to the 10th Edition of the International Workshop on Lung Health which takes place from January 19th to January 21st, 2023 in Nice (Saint Laurent du Var).
In 2023 we celebrate the 10 Edition of our respiratory medicine international family Meeting. As re-started in 2022, we look forward to welcoming you in Nice for this celebrating edition with an enthusiastic and rich “on site” event, keeping anyway the hybrid format that will allow the attendance of remote countries participants and people who could still have travel and job limitations.
The fil rouge of the X International Workshop on Lung Health has been defined: “Respiratory Diseases and Immune Response” is the main theme which embraces sessions, lectures and symposia. The pandemic taught us that the correct reading and understanding of the Immune Response could be one of the most important ally in medical practice, fighting against virus, bacteria, pathologies and multifaceted conditions. Not considering the Immune system in its complexity and penetrating activity could bring fatal errors.
During the 3 Workshop days we would face all the major and outbreaking topics of Respiratory Medicine: from Asthma and COPD to Respiratory Infections, reaching also the Interstitial and Rare Disesases, our aim is to give to participants and faculty the opportunity of a new perspective on these themes, where a focus role will be played by Immune Response facing these pathologies and conditions.
The advocacy of the International Workshop on Lung Health to Youngs will be enlarged once more during the X edition: a new contest – LUNGonAIR – will constitute an important occasion of “melting pot”, exchange and challenge for the Young Researchers and Clinicians from all over the World. The successful activities of Rising Stars, FUHEL Programme and Posters Calls will be protagonists – once again – of the Meeting.
The peaceful environment of Nice bay will welcome us at the end of January 2023, giving us the opportunity of 3 constructive working days. We invite all of you, faculty, participants and pharma companies representatives to send us any kind of suggestions and ideas you could retain important to focus on. We look forward meeting your enthusiasm in contributing to the Workshop development by participating as well in the Workshop Abstract Calls, which will be opened during the 2022 springtime.
